About
I have always loved the physical process of creating something handmade.
I love to knit and it was my late Mum that taught me everything you need to know about knitting. She was also a great and talented paper crafter and seamstress and her talent and attention to detail still inspires me in my work today.
A couple of decades ago I took the notion to learn how to make jewellery. I bought some pliers, stringing material, findings beads and a book and taught myself how to create simple necklaces and earrings. And so, the obsession to learn in jewellery making was born!
Over the years I have completed a silver smithing course, numerous one to one courses with established, excellent local jewellers and spent many, many hours perfecting my own skills to make the pieces of jewellery I want to make.
I am always wanting to perfect new skills and spend many hours on YouTube and online jewellery academies and also many hours practicing in my garden workshop.
The learning available at the touch of a few buttons today is a far cry from the single book I bought 2 decades ago!
I truly love creating silver and gemstone jewellery and there is no better feeling than when you get some positive feedback/reviews following sales and commissions.
I also strive to be as ecofriendly as possible, and all my silver is supplied from a British Company who supply nothing but recycled silver. My gift boxes are also as plastic free as possible and supplied by a company involved in tree planting schemes.
